AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

The After School Program through the CDC at Scott's Run Settlement House offers a healthy combination of educational, creative, and recreational enrichment. The warm and nurturing teachers are well trained in the area of child development and are able to provide activities that meet the developmental and social needs of the children. The children have many opportunities to participate in community service projects that not only encourage them to be helpful individuals, but build self-confidence and self esteem in them as well.

Another component of the After School Program offers academic assistance to area students of all ages. The students are matched with tutors according to their needs. Tutors are recruited from the community and WVU.
