BOARD OF DIRECTORS

As a National Mission Institution of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, the board of directors of Scott's Run Settlement House is composed of a unique combination of: (1) one-third United Methodist - to insure a sense of Christian commitment to the institution's mission, its historical legacy, and its relationship to the United Methodist Church at all levels (2) one-third community-at-large - to obtain specific professional expertise, organizational connections and other leadership needed, i.e. financial, legal, ecumenical; (3) one-third constituency served - to intentionally include the community / constituency's insights and perspective in determining program and policy, and to promote leadership development. The board also consists of ex-officio board members with vote.  The board's composition, its democratic style of planning and working demonstrate the principles which it espouses.
