Scott’s Run Settlement House

 Sunday June 8, 2008
2-5pm
Suburban Bowling Lanes

Why Bowl for Scott’s Run Settlement House?
Scott’s Run Settlement House is a mission project of the United Methodist Church and a United Way Agency. Scott’s Run Settlement House is located within the Mon Valley District and is a place for individuals and families to turn to in times of need. As a Bowl-A-Thon participant, you’ll be among a select group of bowlers, non-bowlers, and sponsors taking part in the most fun fundraiser ever! This is a powerful opportunity for everyone in the community to help support the much needed programs of Scott’s Run Settlement House.

How Does Bowl-A-Thon Work?
Participants will assemble 5 person teams. Each team will bowl three games. Each participant solicits pledges or flat donations from friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers, all proceeds will benefit Scott’s Run Settlement House. A registration fee of $25 per team will guarantee you a lane, and will cover the costs of your team. As this is a fundraiser we ask that each bowler collect a minimum of $10 in pledges/donations in order to participate.

Are There Awards?
Yes! Trophies will be awarded to the highest scoring individuals & team!
Prizes will be awarded to the top team with the most pledges.
Surprise prizes will be awarded throughout the afternoon.

How Can I Participate?
1. Register your team with Scott’s Run Settlement House by mailing in your team registration form & fee by May 23, 2008 to reserve your space. We have a set number of lanes so be sure to return your form as soon as possible if you intend to participate! We cannot guarantee you a lane if we do not receive your team registration form & fee!
2. Each bowler needs to fill out the consent form. If under 18, please be sure to have a parent or guardian sign the consent form; if not, you will not be able to bowl.
3. Set a goal for yourself. Sign up enough sponsors (friends, family, co-workers, etc.) to reach your goal. Sponsors may agree to make a flat donation or a donation based on your bowling score. Tell your sponsors their gifts are tax deductible!
4. Bring your completed sponsor forms and turn in your collected donations when you come to bowl on June 8th. ANY DONATION, LARGE OR SMALL, IS ACCEPTED!
