Our small but mighty team is here to assist in any way they can. Check them out below and learn about their favorite part of working at Scott's Run Settlement House!
Through my position, I get to meet many caring individuals in our county that want to help and make a difference. The communal spirit I see from volunteers, donors and public officials is inspiring. There is no better feeling than when you brighten the day of someone in their time of need.
I love being able to have such an impact in the community. It is a great feeling to have volunteer groups come together every week to pack over 500 bags to send out to the local schools to ensure that students have food over the weekend. It is great to work for an organization that has been such an entity in this community and continues to do great work and serve so many people.
Having a personal understanding of food insecurity, I am excited to work with an organization that is genuinely passionate about the belief that food is a human right and every individual should have access to healthy foods.
Food Pantry Coordinator
I have worked in the nonprofit sector for the past seven years and have been in the Scott's Run area for the past four years. I love being able to have the opportunity to give back to my community and help those in need. I'm excited to be part of the team here at SRSH and help people in the community.
Maintenance and Home Repair Program Coordinator
Pete has been here at Scott's Run Settlement House for 17 years! He oversees the home repair program as well as all building maintenance.
Hello! My name is Hope, I am the Program Assistant here at the Settlement House. I am a proud mother of 8 fur-babies and currently attending college to obtain my bachelor's degree in social work. I was interested in joining the team here at Scott’s Run Settlement House because I am passionate about helping others when they are in need and love that I get to help my community with food stability “
